The brief
Business Synergy runs Connectd, a business networking event that grows every edition. They wanted one platform for the whole business: selling tickets, checking people in, giving attendees a portal, and making networking visible instead of hoping it happens.
What we built
- Commerce and tickets. Revenue, paid orders, average order value and tickets issued on one dashboard, alongside the blog, media library, sponsors and campaigns.
- A mobile ticket and portal. Every attendee gets a QR ticket and a portal with the agenda, links, sponsors and live alerts.
- Live networking on the big screen. When attendees scan each other's badges, the connection appears on a live map, with a leaderboard of the most connected people.
- Polls and Q&A from phones. Projector links need no login, so the AV desk can put them on screen instantly.
The result
Connectd 9.0 in June 2026 had 394 people attend, an 88% show rate and 2,724 connections made (organiser's figures). The next edition, Connectd X, is on 9 and 10 December 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
